Deaf Education major with an English minor // Senior // San Diego, California. Emma came to UT from California to pursue her passion for deaf eduction. Her first American Sign Language (ASL) classes have been her favorite, because that’s where she met friends that she’ll be in classes with until graduation, and the professors who believe in and inspire her and her classmates. She knows the experiences she’s had here couldn't have happened anywhere else.
“Bring a good pair of walking shoes. The campus is big, and even when you know your way around, if you are in uncomfortable shoes, you won’t have as good of a day.”
“My favorite UT memory would probably be a random Friday afternoon when I was walking from the Hill to my dorm, and as far as the eye could see, everyone was in bright UT orange. You could tell that everyone was so excited and proud to be a student here.”
